If you are looking for nautical jokes and stories, and a sense of community with other boaters; if you hold a deep appreciation of God's great gifts - our oceans, lakes, rivers and streams; then you've come to the right place. We are glad you found us!
This site is designed to help bring together online, boaters and people who simply love the water. Our goal is to entertain through our nautically lighthearted Web pages. The only aspect of boating we take seriously is boating and water safety; everything else is on the lighter side.
| My Personal Invitation!
Whether your boat is large or small or maybe you don't currently own a boat. That's OK! For membership you need only love the water. All who enjoy that are equal in this club. That is why I named it the All Volunteer Yacht Club - All we ask is that you keep safety first and have fun!
Come join in the fun!

In 2002 I developed a simple printable calendar for this club that caught the attention of Internet surfers looking for a calendar to print. Not wanting to set a price for the calendar and in the true spirit of the "All Volunteer" Yacht Club we set up the web's first calendar to print on the honor system. So as it turned out, fate has stepped in and the calendar now helps pay the bills around here. We owe a special thanks to all our calendar users - (boaters and non-boaters alike) for their support! |

- EMPLOY the safety principles and tips on this site and the other sites to which we have links from our safety tips web pages. We ask, as fellow boaters, that you familiarize yourself with safe boating and water principles. Taking a boating safety course is an excellent idea.
- PROMOTE boating and water safety by talking it up with your family and friends. Offering to create, join or chair a safety committee at your boat club or pen a newsletter on boating safety. Anything you can do help keep the level of awareness about safety up - in and around your favorite body of water.
- REPORT any unsafe condition or unsafe acts by others to the closest authorities. You may be able to prevent injuries or worse by staying alert to dangers.
In short, activity one is to -
"Keep Safety First and Have Fun!" -Jim Kearney

Why do we do this? Well, we are boaters and we thought it would be interesting, challenging and fun. It has been all of that so far and much more. Plus there is a little history we talk about.
